September & October Newsletter 06

Hello Everyone!

I am so sorry I missed last months newsletter. So, I will make up for it this month with quite a lengthy read. I have so much to tell you! The past few months have been one of the most trying times in our lives and ministry. However, God has been right there every step of the way.

Many of you know my husband Bill had a serious accident on August 15th this year. He fell 22 feet from a roof top face down on the concrete. I will never forget that feeling in the pit of my stomach when I got the phone call at 4:30pm that Tuesday afternoon. They were already rushing him to ER and could not tell me how serious he was injured. I immediately hung up the phone and started praying. When I arrived at the ER, they would not let me see him and still could not provide me with any info other than the fact he was alive. One hour later, they let me go to him. I was horrified! He was so broken and bruised. He broke his heel, knee, wrist, nose and two fractures in his face. Along with several lacerations and bruises. God spared his life! The doctors and paramedics both said it was a miracle he was not killed or injured any worse. He suffered NO head, neck or back injuries or internal injuries whatsoever! Praise God!

We found out that day how quickly your life can change. Life as we knew it stopped at that moment. What we thought was important was no longer an issue. Things that we thought just had to be done; no longer mattered. I am so grateful for God's mercy. It could have been a lot worse. After 2 surgeries and 6 days in the Trauma Unit at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, Bill came home. We had to make so many changes. Everyday we were faced with a new challenge. Simple things we took for granted like eating, sleeping and taking a shower became such a difficult task. We drew strength straight from God and he has seen us thru each challenge.

However, I have a few praise reports! The Doc told us that Bill's heel was broken in several places and would never heal correctly. He said it would widen & flatten out and become grossly deformed. Well, we went to the doctor this past Wednesday for Bill's progress report. The Doctor had to look at the new x-rays 3 times. He was quite surprised to tell us that after only 6 weeks since the accident, the heel had already completely formed together in perfect position and there was no deformity whatsoever! He was able to go ahead and remove all casts & braces and give Bill the "OK" for 100% weight bearing on all injuries! We rejoiced and gave God praise right there in the Doctor's office. We can't thank Him enough for his mighty works!

Bill has now started full physical therapy and it's painful. He can walk on both feet short distances with the walker. He is also driving (against my better judgement) he just could not stand my driving any longer! He has been playing the guitar since Sept at the FGMA Convention. He is not quite back to his normal playing but he is sure enough workin' that wrist. It won't take him long. I told him with the new metal plate & screws they put in his wrist he can start playing "Heavy Metal" LOL!  He is really doing quite well and trusting God for daily strength. Not to mention the fact he IS from Texas! He IS stubborn! And very determined to fully rehabilitate!

We want to thank each and every one of you who have touched our lives these past few months. Words cannot express our gratitude & appreciation for the way you have shown us your love and concern. If I try to start mentioning names, I know I will forget some one. You know who you are and we thank you from the depths of our heart. God has used you to bless us in so many ways. Your prayers & financial support thru this trial have been amazing. We love you!

We also want to thank the churches & venues that allowed us to reschedule our concerts. We are now booking new concerts again! You can call us at 863-860-9002 or visit us online for info on scheduling Psalm 101 at your church or event. We look forward to seeing you at some of our concerts soon. We had our first concert Oct 7th and God was so gracious to give us strength. He also sent his Spirit to touch lives that night and we never take that for granted. We give Him all the honor & glory!

We are also excited to announce that our first single from the new CD "Worth The Wait" will be at radio next week! "He Prays For Me" is being promoted by the Rick Hendrix Company on VOL 44. You can hear this song on our website & myspace sites. We would appreciate your help by requesting this song on your local radio station or your favorite online gospel radio. We pray God's blessings on this song to be used for His glory according to His will! This song was written by my mom (Charmaine Massey), myself and Donna Beauvais of Hope's Call.

The new CD is still on hold with the graphics! We have gone thru so many trials getting this CD printed. I am certain though that it is all for a reason and I believe God's time is the best time! Remember, good things come to those who Wait....lol! Blessings to all of you that have waited so long on this CD! You are truly appreciated!

Please be sure to make plans to be with us in concert this month!
